These transformations in the productive processes generate a replacement of workers by the capital. The solidary popular economy experiences are made possible through the work cooperatives or associations. A consistent public policy framework is necessary to promote the development of these collective enterprises. The social work is one of the professions that can contribute to these collective experiences.Key words – Third industrial revolution. Solidary popular economy. Social work.
