The intrafamilial child sexual violence: the revictimization of the child and adolescent victims of abuse

The main objective of this study is to analyze the sexual abuse committed against children and adolescents in the family context and the consequent revictimization that they are submitted in the present system of judicial inquiry as well as extra-judicial. Our aim is also to demonstrate that is possible to protect physiologically underage victims, avoiding the excessive recurrence of interrogatories and the damages that are caused in the productions of the proofs. We highlight the present by hearsay system of young people that are victims of sexual abuse, the fact that the law operators are not prepared to deal with those emotional problems caused, as well as the number of abusers that is absolved without proofs. After that, we demonstrate the inquiry. We also gather some propositions about legislative changes. Finally, we conclude that is necessary and urgent the creation of a new method in order to deal with the underage victims, since the society are aware of the way many of them have been treated in their families nowadays and the consequences of it. Naturally, children and adolescents should be protected and supported by their families.Downloads
