O Agronegócio Gaúcho na Perspectiva da Vantagem Competitiva Revelada (1996-2006)*

The aim of this article was at analyzing the specialization and the competitiveness level of the Rio Grande do Sul State agribusiness at international markets. The instruments to the achievement of this work will be the Revealed Comparative Advantage Index which allows us to arrange the sectors by the extent of the use they make from the allotment of exiting factors. The source for the data used in the work was the AliceWeb system made available by the Brazilian Ministry for Industry Development and Commerce under the specification of two digits. It was considered all products in the Common Nomenclature of Mercosul (NCM) which belong to the agropecuary productive chain. The findings corroborate the assertion about the importance of agribusiness to the State commercial dynamism, and the chapters about soybean, meat and tobacco the ones that have the highest specialization.Downloads
