Formação socialmente responsável: o papel da instituição de ensino superior na construção de cidadãos comprometidos com a sociedade
Abstract
Esta pesquisa teve como objetivo verificar se uma instituição de ensino superior pode estimular e promover o envolvimento de seus discentes em atividades socialmente responsáveis. Para tanto, realizou-se uma pesquisa-ação com os discentes por um período de cinco anos. Em cada um dos cinco anos, optou-se por adotar dois grupos constituídos por turmas com aproximadamente 45 alunos cada uma, os quais receberam tratamento diferenciado quanto ao incentivo para o trabalho voluntário. O estudo mostrou que uma instituição de ensino superior pode colaborar para com o envolvimento de estudantes em atividades socialmente responsáveis através do trabalho voluntário, uma vez que, na época do último levantamento de dados, o curso de Administração dessa faculdade apresentava cerca de 15% do corpo discente envolvido em atividades socialmente responsáveis, enquanto que nos anos anteriores ao projeto, como foi verificado no início da pesquisa, esse número não chegava a 2%.

Abstract
This paper aims to verify the ability of a Postsecondary Institution to stimulate and to promote commitment and socially responsible activities in its undergraduates’ students. An action-research was implemented with two groups of undergraduates’ per year for a five-year period. Each group was constituted by 40-45 students. Both groups received different treatment or incentives to volunteer work. The mains results show that a graduation institution can promote and stimulate the involvement of students in socially responsible activities. This could be observe when we compare the participation of undergraduate’s in two moments: In the end of these research, the Management courses had 15% of its undergraduates working on socially responsible activities, while in the period before this research had been implemented, this rate was less than 2%.
