A trajetória de um sucesso: a Faculdade de Administração, Contabilidade e Economia da PUCRS
Abstract
Este trabalho apresenta um breve histórico da Faculdade de Administração Contabilidade e Economia (FACE) da PUCRS. Ele procura resgatar essa trajetória desde a sua fundação, em 1931, pelos Irmãos Maristas, como um curso superior de Economia e Finanças. Comemorase, neste ano de 2006, 75 anos de existência. Ao longo desse período, ela acompanhou as transformações sociais, políticas e econômicas que ocorreram no Brasil e no mundo. Assim, o trabalho descreve os principais eventos sociais e econômicos ocorridos, cuja influência se fez sentir no País e em toda a Universidade.

Abstract
This paper presents the history of the College of Management, Accounting and Economics of the “Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul”, Brazil (PUCRS). It describes its trajectory from 1931 to 2006, when the College completes 75 years of existence. It was established by the Brothers of Mary as a course in economics and financing. During these years it followed the social, political and economic changes which transformed not only Brazil, but also the world. The paper describes the main social and economical events that influenced the society and the modernizations which the College promoted along its existence.
