Educação superior e atuação profissional: trabalho e emprego na percepção dos universitários gaúchos
Abstract
Com base na demanda crescente de matrículas no ensino superior e dos novos sentidos do trabalho, emprego e informalidade na economia atual, o artigo apresenta as principais evidências teórico-empíricas sobre como o universitário que ingressa no ensino superior percebe ou apreende os novos cenários econômicos e o mercado de trabalho. Além de discutir os principais condicionantes teóricos do processo de ingresso no ensino superior, a partir dos pressupostos da economia psicológica e sua relação com o mercado de trabalho, este estudo apresenta os resultados obtidos por meio de uma pesquisa de campo mais ampla, abrangendo 2.269 calouros do ensino superior do Rio Grande do Sul. Identifica que a percepção dos universitários pesquisados está intimamente associada às formas e opções tradicionais do mercado de trabalho, centradas no trabalho formal assalariado.

Abstract
Taking into account the increasing demand of superior education and the new meanings of work, job and informality in the present economy, this paper presents the main theoretical and empirical evidences on how the undergrad students in the beginning of their superior education perceive the economic scenery and the labor market. Besides discussing the main theoretical factors in the admission process of the superior education, and starting from a presupposition of the psychological economy and its relationship with the labor market, this study shows the results obtained by means of a broader field research, including 2269 freshmen of the superior education in Rio Grande do Sul state. It also identifies that the perception of the investigated university students is closely associated to the traditional options and forms of the market, focused on the formal and salaried work.
