Competitividade e Inovação na Indústria gaúcha: um resgate crítico
Abstract
Este texto procura resgatar criticamente o trabalho “Competitividade e inovação na indústria gaúcha”, pesquisa desenvolvida pelo Núcleo de Estudos Industriais da FEE- NEI, abrangendo o período 1985/1995. O foco do presente artigo é avaliar criticamente os principais conceitos utilizados na época, de forma a incorporar os avanços na compreensão da etapa atual de financeirização do capital. Incluem-se aí a questão da competitividade sistêmica e do padrão internacional de concorrência em uma economia sob dominância financeira. Sob essa mesma ótica, discute-se o conceito de inovação, onde diversos aspectos precisam ser levados em consideração. Por outro lado, o próprio conceito de competitividade é limitado pelo fato de que não se considerou como essencial a financeirização do capital produtivo e a nova dimensão da lógica financeira na estratégia das empresas que são referência em nível mundial.

Abstract
This paper aims to analyze critically the study “Competitividade e inovação na indústria gaúcha”, developed by the “Núcleo de Estudos Industriais” (NEI) of FEE, which focuses on the period 1985/95. It aims to evaluate the main concepts used in that period in order to incorporate the advances in the understanding of the current stage of financialization of capital. It includes the systemic competitiveness and the international pattern of competition in an economy under finance dominance. From this point of view, it analyzes the concept of innovation, including several aspects. On the other side, the concept of competition is limited by the fact that it did not include the financialization of the productive capital and the new dimension of the financial logic in the strategy of the main world companies.
