Desigualdade e concentração na pauta de exportações dos estados brasileiros
Abstract
O presente artigo tem como objetivo determinar o grau de desigualdade e concentração das exportações dos Estados brasileiros no ano de 2003. Para tal, são apresentados e discutidos alguns dos principais índices utilizados na literatura que captam estas características para, num segundo momento, aplicá-los às exportações das diferentes Unidades da Federação. Na comparação dos resultados obtidos com a participação de cada Estado no total exportado é possível constatar que, quanto mais desigual for a pauta exportadora do Estado, maior será a sua participação, ao passo que, quanto maior for o valor exportado, menor será a sua concentração.

Abstract
The objective of this paper is to find out the inequality and concentration exports degree of each Brazilian state for 2003. In that matter, some of the main indexes used in the literature are introduced and then applied to exports at state level. Comparing the results obtained with each state exports share, it is possible to conclude that in general the more uneven the list of products exported, the higher will be the state’s share in total exports, while higher export value is related to lower concentration.
