SOCIOENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT IN THE PARQUE AMBIENTAL ENCONTRO DOS RIOS, IN TERESINA, PIAUÍ, BRAZIL

Abstract

Throughout the process of historical evolution, the human being has explored the available natural resources in the environment. From century XVIII, with the Industrial Revolution, this exploration intensified and impelled to the nature a load of very intense exploration. In this direction, the public managers had taken some measures for the envirgiment maintenance of the natural resources. In this present work is possible to see some sociable and relevance that identify some transformations in the region of the Parque Ambiental Encontro dos Rios, located in the city of Teresina, Piauí, created with the objective to preserve the environment and to supply to the society a leisure space. This work identify provoked anthropogenic and/or natural modifications in the park. For this project works it was proceed to pertinent a bibliographical survey to the subject and, later, the inquiry in loco the searched area. In the research it was possible to see the park makes use of infrastructure that it aims at to take care of the ambient preservation, as well as the leisure of the visitors and the tourism. Moreover, it has kiosks and a boat restaurant. In regards to the ambient aspect, the park is conserved. However, it is important to see some points as the natural erosion provoked by the river Parnaiba in its left edge and also destruction of the around bush in both the edges of the related water course. We emphasize that all and any ambient or economic measure must be taken through a planning, enclosing referring interests to the conservation of the environmental, sociocultural and economic resources.
