Abstract

Hunting and persecution applied to wildlife are illegal activities, frequently perpetrated in protected areas. The records in this paper were collected during inventory of mammals, conducted between January and July 2009, in the south part of Environmental Protection Area of Ibirapuitã. It was verified the impact on 10 species involved in 26 records, motivated by hunting for cinegetic species; Dasypus novemcinctus (n= 4), Dasypus hybridus (n= 4), Euphractus sexcinctus (n= 1), Hidrochoerus hidrochaeris (n= 1), Mazama gouazoubira (n= 2); or for the persecution of species considerate pest or predators; Ctenomys torquatus (n= 1), Lycalopex gymnocercus (n= 1), Leopardus geoffroyi (n= 2), Conepatus chinga (n= 8), Procyon cancrivorus (n= 2).
