Abstract

This article aims to reflect on transitional justice from the interpretation of aspects of the documentary Repare Bem (2012), authored by Maria de Medeiros. In this film we see the strength of the narrative account of the life of two women, Denise Crispim, the mother, and Crispim Eduarda Leite, her daughter, who were persecuted by the civil – military dictatorships in Brazil and Chile in the 1970s. For this reading, we adhere to the theoretical framework of studies on transitional justice, restorative justice and reconstructive justice as well as the field of the social imaginary and collective memory. The text was produced under the discussions of the research group Right to Memory and Truth and Transitional Justice Research, on the Program of Graduate Studies in Criminal Sciences, Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul.

Vanessa Schinke, Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul

Doutoranda em Ciências Criminais, na linha "Violência, Crime e Segurança Pública", pela Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul (PUCRS). Mestre pelo Programa de Pós-Graduação em Direito da Universidade de Brasília (UnB), na linha de pesquisa "Constituição, Processo e Teoria Constitucionais, Direito Fundamentais". Atualmente dedica-se à linha relativa à memória constitucional, especificamente aos fenômenos relacionados à Anistia Poítica. Foi analista processual da Comissão de Anistia do Ministério da Justiça/Brasil. Bacharel em Ciências Jurídicas e Sociais, pela Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul (PUCRS) e pela Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), do Curso de Bacharelado em Letras, com habilitação para Tradução. Presta consultoria para Municípios, assessoria em políticas públicas e demandas relativas a agentes políticos.
