Abstract

The authors, in brief analysis, discussing the possible impact of heroism in democratic´s institutions. Draws a short history of heroism and their characteristics, doing subsequently an analogy between this and the acting Judge Joaquim Barbosa in the course of criminal procedure No. 470 STF (Known as Mensalão’s Case). Also form brief notes on the Rule of Law, about the function of the Judiciary and the risks that the scandal’s spread and the flexibilization of rules and principles can bring democratic institutions.
