Autonomia e a confiança: seriam estes conceitos inconciliáveis para Onora O’Neill?

individual e confiança analisando uma possível relação entre ambos, conforme expresso no primeiro capítulo do livro Autonomy and Trust in Bioethcs. Para tanto, será reconstruída a argumentação da autora, por meio da qual será mostrada a compreensão que possui acerca da autonomia e da confiança. No segundo momento, passaremos a análise de se a autonomia individual e a confiança são opostas ou, antes, pressupõe-se como condição das relações entre a equipe médica e seus pacientes. Para tanto, retomaremos uma importante distinção entre julgar confiabilidade e colocar confiança, como proposto por O’Neill. Ao final, será discutido se a autora comete uma contradição ou não ao criticar a concepção de confiança fundamentada a partir da teoria moral kantiana.Downloads
