Em defesa de um bidimensionalismo semântico

A partir dos trabalhos de Kripke sobre mundos possíveis e designadores rígidos, muitos filósofos passaram a defender que os conteúdos dos nossos estados mentais são amplos, pois a sua individuação dependeria das nossas relações causais com o nosso ambiente físico e/ou social. Contudo, tal conteúdo amplo reabre a questão dos “casos fregeanos”, pois sentenças epistemicamente distintas possuirão o mesmo conteúdo amplo. Uma recente resposta a esta dificuldade é a de afirmar que estados mentais possuem uma dupla dimensão em relação aos seus conteúdos, compatibilizando uma individuação fina dos conteúdos com certas conclusões externalistas. O objetivo deste trabalho é o de apresentar e defender os argumentos de Frank Jackson em defesa de um bidimensionalismo semântico.Downloads
