Abstract
SUMMARY
The aim of this study is to determinate, in our field, the role of the blood pressure as a possible diagnostic factor in temporomandibular disorders patients. The blood pressures of women, between the ages of 17 to 40 years old with signs and symptoms of temporomandibular disorders (TMD) versus a control group, were measured with a “Digital Blood Pressure Meter” by A&D Engineering Inc. As a result, it was observed that there was a tendency to hypotension when compared to the control group.
UNITERMS: temporomandibular disorders; orofacial pain and blood pressure.
