Limitação de abertura bucal causada por hiperplasia bilateral do processo coronóide: relato de caso
Abstract
A limitação da abertura bucal freqüentemente é associada a desarranjos internos da ATM ou desordens dos músculos mastigatórios. Entretanto, esta pode ocorrer devido a hiperplasia unilateral ou bilateral do processo coronóide. Neste artigo será relatado o caso de um paciente do gênero masculino de 22 anos de idade com limitação de abertura bucal devido a hiperplasia bilateral do processo coronóide.

SUMMARY
The limitation of the mouth opening frequently is associated to internal disarrangements of ATM or to masticatory muscle disorders. However, this can happen due to hyperplasia unilateral or bilateral of the coronoid process. In this article it will be report case a patient’s of the 22 year-old-man with limitation of the mouth opening due to bilateral hyperplasia of the coronoid process.
