Call for Submission - Letras de Hoje

Period: March 10 to April 26, 2021

CONTEMPORARY BAKHTINIAN STUDIES

Bakhtin and the Bakhtin Circle contribute to relevant research in different knowledge areas, especially in discourse analysis and its interfaces with other fields. This issue is centered on Bakhtinian studies and is open to research focused both on theory and on empirical approaches. For theory, we encourage conceptual (re)definitions and/or updates, as well as multidisciplinary studies based on notions and concepts developed by the Circle. As for empirical approaches, we hope to further contribute with Bakhtinian studies with the goal of both facing contemporary issues (such as hate speech, production in a pandemic time and space, and utterances and their syncretic manifestations, such as verbal and/or visual and/or musical etc.) and understanding contemporary discourses, such as those in politics, media, art, and culture.

 The texts must be unpublished, in Portuguese, Italian, English, Spanish or French, and must be submitted to the journal by April 15, 2020, through the official website of Letras de Hoje: https://revistaseletronicas.pucrs.br/ojs/index.php/fale/index
