The importance of the English and Spanish languages in civil aviation training

This article talks about the importance of proficiency in English and Spanish in the training of aviation professionals, or, more specifically, in the training of the employees of Brazil’s National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC/Brasil). The main topics covered in this paper are: English as the official aviation language, the relevance of the English and Spanish languages (English being the most representative of the two) in aviation training, and the strategic importance of the Spanish language for Brazil – especially because of the close relationship existing between ANAC and CLAC (Latin American Civil Aviation Commission). Language-related endeavors targeting the Agency’s employees as well as civil aviation personnel not hired by ANAC are also mentioned in this article.
A importância do inglês e do espanhol para a capacitação na aviação civil
Este artigo fala da importância da proficiência em inglês e espanhol para a capacitação de profissionais da aviação, em específico dos servidores da Agência Nacional de Aviação Civil – ANAC/Brasil. Destaca-se o inglês como língua da aviação, a importância do inglês e do espanhol para eventos de capacitação na área – sendo a língua inglesa mais representativa – e a importância estratégica do espanhol para o Brasil, em especial devido à estreita relação entre ANAC e CLAC (Comissão Latino-americana de Aviação Civil). São mencionadas as ações da Agência relativas a idiomas, tendo como público-alvo seus servidores e também o público externo.
