Abstract
SUMMARY
The aroeira (Schinus terebinthifolius Raddi) is a native plant from the south region of Brazil, Argentina, Uruguai, Paraguai, Chile, Peru and Bolívia, is distributed all over the Paraná coast. It blooms between november and march, sometimes irregulary, after that it frutifees. The fruits can stay until the next blooming. The objective was to study the way of action and it’s therapeutic effects of aroeira, in combat of the inflammatory process and the repair process in the tissue of the ulcerada lesion of the bucal mucosis of the mouse. We used fifity male mice of the following breanches: Rattus novergicus albinos, Rodentia, Mammalia da linhagem wistar with age approximately between 45 and 50 days and fed them with food water ad libitum, wich ones were divided into groups: one experimental animals and one control group of animals. After that, we induced on the animal’s tonque ulcer lesions through daily topic application of hidróxido de sódio the 40%. The lesions were treated with topic application of aroeira extract, and the mice were put to sleep with anesthesia, by using éter etílico 97% on the 2, 7, 14, 21 and 42 days after the beginning of the treatment. The groups controls didn’t receive any treatment type and the experimental groups were treated with the extract of the leaf of Schinus terebinthifolius Raddi. The obtained information were analyzed statistical through the Kruskal-Wallis test and multiple comparisons, using probability of p > 0,05. In the analysis of the obtained results of the effect of the extract, it was observed that the ulcers of the experimental groups, when compared to the one of the groups controls, they showed closing epithelial accelerated, larger vascular proliferation and fibroblastic. The Schinus terebenthifolius Raddi showed to have positive effect in the process of tissular repair.
UNITERMS: Schinus terebinthifolius Raddi, process of tissular repair, Anacardiaceae, Brazil Pepper.
