Levantamento epidemiológico realizado na clínica de cirurgia bucal
Abstract
O presente trabalho mostra o levantamento dos procedimentos realizados na clínica de Cirurgia Bucomaxilofacial I da Fundação Bahiana para Desenvolvimento das Ciências (FBDC) – curso de Odontologia, durante o período de agosto de 2004 a julho de 2005. Foram examinadas 910 fichas sendo totalizado 2025 extrações ao longo do período, tendo como dentes mais extraídos os 1ºs molares inferiores. De acordo com o estudo a principal causa para a perda precoce das unidades dentárias foi à doença cárie. Foram obtidos também dados inerentes à faixa etária dos pacientes submetidos a exodontias, cor de pele e sexo predominante, medicação pós-operatória e o tipo de fio de sutura.

SUMMARY
The present study it shows the survey of the procedures carried through in the Departament of oral surgery of the Foundation Bahiana for the Development of Science (FBDC) – Dental school of during the period of August of 2004 the July of 2005. 910 fiches had been examined being totalized 2025 extrations to the long one of the period, having as teeth more extracted 1º molar inferiors. In accordance with the study the main cause for the precocious loss of the dental units was to the illness caries. They had been gotten also given inherent to the etária band of the submitted patients the extrations, skin color and predominant sex, postoperative medication and the type of suture wire.
