Avaliação da sintomatologia dolorosa nas anestesias infiltrativas no palato quando utilizado a xilocaína a 5% e/ou placebo (vaselina) como anestésico tópico: estudo piloto
Abstract
Nesta pesquisa buscou-se avaliar, a sintomatologia dolorosa nas anestesias infiltrativas no palato quando utilizado a xilocaína a 5% e/ou placebo (vaselina), como anestésico tópico. Assim o estudo foi composto por 20 pacientes do sexo masculino, com idade variando entre 18 e 40 anos, que não apresentassem alterações sistêmicas, não fumantes e sem hábitos de ingerir bebidas alcoólicas e/ou uso de drogas de uso terapêutico ou não. Estes foram submetidos à exodontias simples e seriadas, em tempos operatórios distintos, na maxila, onde se promoveu, ao todo, 40 exodontias. Foram constituídos grupos controle e experimental, de forma aleatória, onde se considerou como grupo experimental o anestésico tópico xilocaína a 5%, e como grupo controle a vaselina. Os resultados indicaram que a metade dos pacientes tinha entre 21 a 30 anos, 1/4 (25,0%) tinha de 18 a 20 anos e 1/4 (25,0%) de 31 a 41 anos; metade dos pacientes tinha 1° grau incompleto, dois eram analfabetos e apenas um tinha curso superior; Quanto à freqüência dos dentes analisados: o maior percentual correspondeu aos dentes molares, sendo este percentual mais elevado no grupo experimental. Conclui-se que através do teste de comparações de proporções pareadas não se comprovou diferença significativa entre as duas situações ou os dois grupos.

SUMMARY
In this research one searched to evaluate, a symptomatology in infiltrativas anesthesias in the palato when used the xilocaína 5% and/or placebo (petroleum jelly). Thus the study he was composed by 20 patients of the masculine sex, with age varying between 18 and 40 years that did not present systemics alterations and that they were pertaining ASA I, not smoking and without habits to ingest alcoholic beverage and/or use of drugs of therapeutic use or not. These had been submitted simple exodontics procedures in series, in distinct operativies times, in upper jaw, where if it promoted, to all, 40 exodontic procedures. Groups had been constituted have controlled and experimental, of random form, where if the xilocaine topical anaesthetic considered as experimental group 5%, and as group it has controlled petroleum jelly. The results had indicated that the half of the patients had enters the 21 up to 30 years, 1/4 (25,0%) had of 18 the 20 years and 1/4 (25,0%) of 31 the 41 years, half of the patients had 1° incomplete degree, two were illiterate and only one had completed the college graduation course; About the frequency of analyzed teeth: the percentile greater corresponded to molar teeth, being this raised percentage more in the experimental group it concludes that through the test of pares comparisons ratios it does not arrive to prove significant difference between the two situations or the two groups.
