Scientia Medica (Sci Med.) is the peer-reviewed official scientific journal of the School of Medicine, Sao Lucas Hospital and Institute of Geriatrics and Gerontology from Pontificia Universidade Catolica do Rio Grande do Sul (PUCRS). The aim of this multidisciplinary journal is to contribute to the dissemination of scientific knowledge in several fields of Medicine and other Health Sciences.
Scientia Medica is published quarterly in print and electronic media, allowing public access to all its contents. It is presently indexed in LILACS, SCOPUS, LATINDEX, EMBASE, DOAJ and OJS-PKP databases. The submission process is totally online, and free of charge for authors. Papers are accepted in Portuguese, Spanish and English.
