Abstract
SUMMARY
The authors studied 100 individuals that were divided into 4 groups. All patients received anesthetic injection with lidocaíne solution, varying only the presence or not and the type of vasoconstrictor (adrenaline or noradrenaline 1:50.000). The patients were submitted to oral surgery and measuring the arterial blood pressure before the start of the anesthetic procedier and after the tooth extraction. It was constacted a very similar behaviour in the groups in wich the local anesthetic was associated vasoconstrictor being them (arterial pressure stable). Even so in the group who received anesthetic without vasoconstrictor there were a statistically significant elevation of the arterial blood pressure.
UNITERMS: arterial blood pressure; local anesthetics; vasoconstrictor.
